“Out of the Blue,” you can find Amanda balancing her 26 year career with the many hobbies and personal connections she enjoys. She was kind enough to share a glimpse into who she is.
I’ve been an ACP for 26 years and recently traded the South Zone for Drayton so I could spend more time doing the things I love. If it’s outdoors, I’m there… camping, hunting, fishing, kayaking, quadding, or hiking.
Family is a big part of who I am—I’m happily engaged, with a son, two wonderful stepdaughters, and a stepson I had the joy of raising, who’s now also a paramedic.
I’ve also been competing in bodybuilding for about 10 years, which has doubled as my excuse to travel the world. Competitions have taken me everywhere from Olympia in Spain to Arnold’s in Columbus.
On the side, I run an Airbnb and am growing it into a cozy venue for elopements and small weddings. Country life suits me perfectly – I get to be a proud (and slightly crazy) chicken lady!
And for something completely different, I also work as a midwife assistant around Rocky Mountain House and Drayton Valley. Life keeps me busy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
